Sure, I can enter as a 2dan. Let me know how things will work.
By the way, do ranks matter too much for these matches? Will there be a handicap system?

Hey, that is awesome!

You should probably enter as 2d as we will be using club ranks not KGS ranks (plus you are almost 2d on KGS anyway :). )

Also, there has been a change of date. The match will now be held Mid-December instead. Let me know if this still suits.

My name is David Mitchell, I live in Sydney, my AGA rank is 5d and I play 5d on Cyberoro against Chinese, Korean and Japanese players.

I am happy to teach some evenings or at the weekend using the KGS server - I prefer to use Skype for commenting on games, it is much quicker and more effective than typing questions and answers.

I am happy to teach particular subjects or play games with anybody from beginner to 2 dan. Given that KGS is available anywhere in the country (or overseas for that matter) I am happy to teach any geographic location.

G'day all,

My name is Steve, I live in Newcastle and would love to hear from any other players in the area. I started trying to learn to play Go after seeing some elderly men playing in a park in China a couple of years ago, but my attempts to learn from books isn't going too well....
I understand the basics but am struggling to progress passed the rudimentary tactics of the game, so if anyone in the Newcastle area feels like helping a novice develop please leave your details or contact me at kiwithepdlegend@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Howdy Sydneyers,
I'm going to be in Sydney Friday the 24th, and I am under the impression that the Sydney City Go Club meets those evenings.
I'm going to be staying in Burwood for the weekend, and I am wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on how to make my way over to where the meetings are held, cause I would enjoy meeting some more Go players from around Australia.

Best,
